A 26.5-inch scale length gives the PRS Tekton SVN extra string tension and low-end clarity where a seven-string needs it most. It's the first seven-string in the American-made PRS catalogue, built on the thin-bodied Tekton platform. The figured mango top sits over a mahogany back with a shallow violin carve and upper-fret scoop, keeping weight and comfort in check. The Modern “D” SVN neck and stainless steel frets suit complex voicings and precise lead work.
PRS Stylus SVN pickups were voiced specifically for the Tekton family, with Alnico 5 magnets and an output lower than many genre-specific humbuckers. That keeps definition across the frequency range under high gain, whether the signal feeds a tube amp, a modelling rig or a recording setup. Split sounds stay usable in every switch position. The 16-inch radius ebony fingerboard carries offset dot inlays, and the neck measures 1 29/32-inch at the nut and 2⅝-inch at the body.
The hardtail bridge has individual saddles for intonation and a string-through design for added resonance and sustain. Phase III locking tuners hold pitch, and the guitar ships strung with PRS Signature 10–59 strings. This Bloodstone Red example is one of six colours alongside Slate Blue, Imperial Topaz, Black Tourmaline, Violet Tourmaline and Fuchsia Aura. A PRS Premium gig bag is included.
