A floating two-point tremolo with a steel plate and brass saddles sits at the centre of the PRS Tekton T, letting the electric guitar handle expressive vibrato without wandering out of tune. Around it, the figured mango top, subtly offset body and shallow violin carve are unmistakably PRS. The thin scarfed maple neck, sculpted heel and scooped upper-fret access keep things fast, while the 25.5-inch scale and 16-inch radius feel familiar under technical lead work.
PRS Stylus humbuckers were developed for the Tekton family and voiced to stay aggressive but clear in every position, split or full. Alnico 5 magnets and moderate output favour note definition over raw gain, and the flatter response keeps some character through a tube amp while sitting well with digital rigs. Wider string spacing, matching the Silver Sky and Fiore, gives sweeping arpeggios and precise pick attack more room to work.
Phase III locking tuners help the tremolo return to pitch, and the controls stay simple: volume, push/pull tone and a three-way blade switch. The body wears high-gloss nitro, while the neck gets a satin nitro finish for a smooth, unsticky feel. This Black Tourmaline example with a natural neck ships with a PRS Premium gig bag, so it is ready to carry to rehearsal or the stage.
