A Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo on a 16-inch radius sits at the heart of the PRS Tekton “Floyd”, an electric guitar aimed at players who lean on dive bombs, flutter effects and wide vibrato. Where the mango-topped Tekton models differ, this one uses a lightweight alder body with a shallow violin carve, sculpted contours and the same upper-fret scoop. The Purple Royale finish with a natural neck is paired with a PRS Premium gig bag.
The neck is a scarfed maple Modern “D” with a satin nitro finish, an ebony fingerboard on a 16-inch radius and a 25.5-inch scale length. Width is 1 11/16-inch at the nut and 2¼-inch at the body. Stainless steel frets stand up to aggressive technique, while offset dot inlays and blue Luminlay side dots help on dark stages. The body carries a high-gloss nitro finish.
Stylus humbuckers were voiced with a flatter response to hold clarity under gain without flattening dynamics, and they sit comfortably in front of tube amps or digital rigs. Controls are a volume, a push/pull tone for coil-splitting and a three-way blade switch. Each position is designed to sound good alone and in combination. Non-locking Phase III tuners keep weight down and promote tone transfer, and PRS Signature 10–46 strings come fitted.
