A mango top over a mahogany back, with a shallow violin carve and a scooped upper-fret cutaway, gives the PRS Tekton the thinnest body and neck the company has put into standard production. This hardtail electric guitar opens a new family of modern PRS models built around a flatter, faster feel. The Modern “D” neck profile keeps enough wood in the hand to feel like a proper guitar, and the sculpted heel makes the top frets easy to reach.
The scarfed maple neck carries an ebony fingerboard with a 16-inch radius, 25.5-inch scale and 24 stainless steel frets. String spacing matches the Silver Sky and Fiore, slightly wider than traditional PRS, which helps arpeggios stay clean and pick attack stay clear. Purpose-built Stylus humbuckers use Alnico 5 magnets and a flatter response. They hold their character through a tube amp, sit comfortably with modelling rigs, and every pickup position and coil split is designed to be usable.
Individual saddles on the PRS hardtail bridge allow precise intonation, while string-through construction adds resonance and sustain. Phase III locking tuners keep tuning steady and add very little weight. Controls are kept simple with a volume, a push/pull tone control and a three-way blade switch. The high-gloss nitro body and satin nitro neck come in this Fuchsia Aura finish with a black satin neck, and a PRS Premium gig bag is included.
