A figured mango top over a mahogany back, with a shallow violin carve and a sculpted heel, gives the PRS Tekton the thinnest body and neck PRS has put into standard production. It is the hardtail entry in the new Tekton family, built around a flatter, faster feel. The Modern “D” neck profile keeps enough wood in the hand to feel like a proper guitar, and an exaggerated upper-fret scoop makes the top end easy to reach. This one is finished in Bloodstone Red with a Black Satin neck.
The scarfed maple neck carries an ebony fingerboard with a 16-inch radius, 24 stainless steel jumbo frets and offset dot inlays with blue Luminlay side dots. Scale length is 25.5 inches, and the nut is 1 11/16 inches wide. String spacing matches the Silver Sky and Fiore, slightly wider than traditional PRS, which helps arpeggios and pick attack stay clean. The neck wears a satin nitro finish, while the body gets high-gloss nitro.
Purpose-built Stylus humbuckers use Alnico 5 magnets and a flatter response, so they keep their character through a tube amp and still sit comfortably with modelling rigs. Controls are a volume, a push/pull tone control for coil splitting and a three-way blade switch, with every position designed to be usable. The PRS hardtail bridge pairs individual saddles for precise intonation with string-through construction for resonance and sustain, and Phase III locking tuners keep tuning steady. A PRS Premium gig bag is included.
