PRS Special Semi-Hollow (McCarty Sunburst) inc. Hard Case

The PRS Special Semi–Hollow stands as a tonal chameleon, offering musicians an impressive twelve pickup combinations through its innovative hum/single/hum configuration. This versatile instrument features two PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers paired with a PRS Narrowfield middle pickup, which provides the clarity and punch of a single coil without the unwanted noise. The 5–way blade switch works alongside two mini–toggles that tap the 58/15 LT humbuckers, creating a vast sonic palette suitable for multiple musical styles.

The guitar’s semi–hollow construction, complete with a single f–hole, adds welcome airiness and depth to the overall tone. Players will appreciate how the volume levels remain consistent between humbucking and single–coil settings, ensuring smooth transitions across all pickup combinations. The tone control offers additional versatility – roll it back for added growl or turn it up for some shimmer.

Built with premium materials, the Special Semi–Hollow features a maple top with mahogany back, plus a 22–fret mahogany neck with 25” scale length and rosewood fretboard. The hardware package includes Phase III tuners and PRS’s Gen III patented tremolo system, ensuring reliable performance and tuning stability for both studio and stage applications.
