Born from the collaboration between PRS and John Mayer in 2018, the SE Silver Sky brings the essence of the original model to a more accessible price point. This workhorse guitar combines classic design elements with modern craftsmanship, featuring a poplar body paired with a bolt-on maple neck and maple fretboard adorned with PRS’s signature bird inlays. Available in four distinct colour options, the SE Silver Sky offers both visual appeal and serious musical capability.

The guitar’s 22-fret neck showcases the original 635JM carve with a 25.5” scale length and comfortable 8.5” fretboard radius, ensuring familiar playability for players of all styles. Three single-coil 635JM “S” pickups provide the tonal foundation, controlled through a 5-way blade switch that unlocks a wide range of sonic possibilities from crisp cleans to singing leads.

Hardware appointments include a reliable two-point steel tremolo system, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners that maintain both functionality and classic aesthetics. The distinctive PRS Silver Sky inverted headstock shape houses a double-acting truss rod accessible from the front for convenient adjustments. Each guitar ships ready to play with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and includes a protective gig bag.
