Born from three decades of innovation, the PRS SE Custom 24–08 represents the evolution of the legendary guitar that launched Paul Reed Smith’s reputation in 1985. This instrument maintains all the core specifications that made the original Custom 24 a modern classic, whilst expanding its sonic capabilities into previously unexplored territory through advanced pickup switching technology.
The SE Custom 24–08 features dual mini–toggle coil–tap switches that work independently to tap each humbucker for authentic single–coil tones, providing a total of eight distinct pickup configurations. This versatile switching system allows players to access everything from crisp, bell–like single–coil sounds to full–bodied humbucker warmth, making it suitable for virtually any musical style or playing situation.
Traditional PRS design elements remain intact, including the stunning maple top over mahogany back construction, smooth rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, and the comfortable 25” scale length. Signature appointments such as the distinctive bird inlays, iconic headstock logo, and PRS patented tremolo system complete this exceptional instrument, ensuring it maintains the visual and functional DNA that has made PRS guitars so highly regarded worldwide.
