Born from three decades of innovation, the PRS Custom 24–08 represents the evolution of the legendary guitar that launched Paul Reed Smith’s reputation in 1985. This SE Series instrument maintains the core DNA of the original Custom 24 whilst expanding its tonal palette through advanced pickup switching technology.
The standout feature of the Custom 24–08 lies in its dual mini–toggle coil–split switches, which allow each humbucker to be individually converted into true single coils. This configuration provides eight distinct pickup combinations, giving players access to everything from thick, warm humbucking tones to bright, articulate single–coil sounds within a single instrument.
Classic PRS appointments define the guitar’s construction, including a figured maple top paired with a mahogany back for optimal resonance and sustain. The rosewood fretboard spans 24 frets across a 25” scale length, adorned with the signature bird inlays that have become synonymous with the brand. Completing the package is PRS’s patented moulded tremolo system and the distinctive headstock logo that marks this as an authentic piece of American guitar craftsmanship.
