The S2 Vela Semi–Hollow brings vintage charm with a modern edge, featuring an offset body shape that balances elegance with attitude through its semi–hollow construction and distinctive f–hole design. This guitar offers remarkable tonal textures and resonance that sets it apart from traditional solid–body instruments.

The pickguard–mounted electronics showcase a PRS DS–01 pickup in the treble position for bright, chimey tones, paired with a PRS Narrowfield in the bass position that adds considerable bite to your sound. The tone control includes a coil–tap function that splits the treble pickup to single–coils, creating a balanced tone that cuts through any mix with clarity and style.

At the heart of this instrument sits PRS’s plate–style bridge featuring two saddles designed for proper intonation compensation. This bridge design pays homage to Paul’s early work and traditional bass plate–style bridges, whilst incorporating top–loading functionality for convenient string changes. The brass saddles and steel plate construction maximises tonal sustain, similar to the bridge found on Paul’s Guitar and select Private Stock models.

Following a decade of success, the PRS S2 Series receives a significant upgrade for 2024 and beyond, now featuring USA–made pickups and electronics throughout the range.
