The S2 McCarty 594 Singlecut brings together vintage soul and modern precision in a guitar that feels like an old friend from the moment you pick it up. This instrument seamlessly bridges the gap between authentic humbucking warmth and nuanced single–coil sweetness, thanks to its Maryland–made 58/15 LT pickups paired with dual volume and push/pull tone controls that unlock both sonic territories with ease.

Built with a bound 22–fret Pattern Vintage neck and slightly thicker back for enhanced sustain, this guitar’s construction speaks to both comfort and tone. The zinc two–piece bridge and vintage–style tuners provide rock–solid stability whilst maintaining the authentic character that defines the McCarty family. It plays in tune, stays in tune, and delivers proper intonation across the entire fretboard length.

For 2024, PRS has elevated the entire S2 Series with USA–made pickups and electronics after a decade of refinement. The updated Vintage–Style tuners now feature new “Wing” buttons that echo the 12th fret bird wingspan design, but their primary purpose is tonal – these lighter–weight buttons subtract less energy from vibrating strings, allowing the guitar to ring longer with more musical sustain. The removal of locking features on non–tremolo models further reduces weight for optimal resonance.
