PRS Modern Eagle V (Charcoal) inc Case

The Modern Eagle V represents a sophisticated fusion of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge electronics, designed to unlock an extraordinary palette of tones from a single instrument. This innovative guitar features a unique hum/single/hum five-coil pickup configuration that provides musicians with unprecedented versatility for both studio recording and live performance. The intuitive 5-way blade switch organises pickups into logical groupings - treble, treble and middle, middle, middle and bass, and bass - whilst the push/pull tone control activates both humbuckers simultaneously, granting access to all three pickups at once.

The guitar’s electronic design extends further with mini toggle switches that allow individual separation of humbucker coils, converting the outside pickups into genuine single coils. This sophisticated electronics package places both classic and contemporary tones within easy reach, making the Modern Eagle V an exceptionally musical instrument for discerning players.

Premium appointments include a maple top paired with mahogany back construction, complemented by a 22-fret Pattern mahogany neck featuring a rosewood fretboard and 25” scale length. The instrument is completed with a bone nut and PRS’s patented Gen III tremolo system. According to Paul Reed Smith, “Modern Eagle models have always been built to stand up to history whilst celebrating tonewoods and the discovery of new tones,” with the Modern Eagle V now joining the Core lineup as a refined and mechanically sophisticated addition.
