PRS Custom 24 Piezo (Faded Whale Blue) inc Hard Case

This solidbody electric combines 24-fret magnetic humbucker electronics with integrated piezo transducers, delivering both full-bodied electric tones and convincing acoustic voicing from a single instrument. The Custom 24 Piezo from PRS arrives in Faded Whale Blue with a figured maple top over a mahogany body, paired with a 25″ scale mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Hardware includes the patented Gen III tremolo system and Phase III tuners fitted with wing buttons, whilst the included hard case ensures protected transport between studio sessions and stage work.

Magnetic output comes from PRS DMO treble and bass humbuckers, personally developed by Paul Reed Smith alongside the New Products Engineering division. Drawing on extensive analysis of sought-after vintage models and contemporary signal measurement techniques, these DMO (Dynamic, Musical, Open) pickups reproduce a transparent voicing with vocal-like midrange articulation across the full frequency spectrum. Control topology comprises standard volume and tone knobs with a 5-way blade selector for magnetic pickup combinations, plus a dedicated 3-way switch for toggling between magnetic-only, piezo-only, or blended operation. Dual output jacks permit independent routing to separate electric and acoustic amplification, or the blend control can sum both signal sources through a single jack for mixed tonal shading.
