The bolt–on neck guitar has been the backbone of rock and roll's signature snap and response since the genre's inception, and the CE 24 continues this legendary tradition. This instrument combines PRS's classic mahogany back and maple top body construction with a bolt–on maple neck featuring a rosewood fretboard, creating the perfect foundation for both rhythm and lead playing.
The neck showcases PRS's Pattern Thin carve with a satin nitro finish that feels natural and comfortable in your hands. At the heart of the CE 24's tonal character are the specially designed 85/15 pickups, crafted by Paul Reed Smith himself to provide exceptional clarity alongside extended high and low frequency response. The electronics package includes volume and push/pull tone controls paired with a 3–way toggle switch, giving you access to six distinct classic sounds.
Originally launched in 1988, the CE series brought PRS design philosophy and build quality to players seeking the traditional snap and sparkle that only bolt–on construction can provide. The CE 24 maintains this heritage while incorporating modern refinements that maximise the guitar's inherent tone and clarity.
