Protection Racket Conga Bag 14" SPR Tumba Shaped

Protection Racket's Conga Bag series delivers practical drum transport engineered for working musicians. The 14" Super Tumba model (catalogue 8314-00) accommodates larger tumbao voices with an 18" × 30" internal cavity designed around actual hardware fixtures and fittings. Pod-style construction with full-length side zippers enables intuitive drum loading and removal without jamming shells or stands against case walls.

The bag combines accessibility with durability through padded carrying handles and fully adjustable padded rucksack straps, distributing weight across shoulders during venue runs or studio mobility. Dual-access design—top-lid zippers running circumferentially plus lengthwise panels—proves essential when stacking multiple cases or navigating tight load-ins. Interior dimensions exceed nominal drum size to accommodate tuning lugs, bearing edges, and mounted hardware without compression or contact damage.

Protection Racket's conga-specific shaping acknowledges that tumba shells taper differently from quinto or requinto designs; this tapered interior geometry prevents lateral drift and drumhead contact during transport. The 14" tumba profile sits between the 12.5" standard tumba (17" internal) and larger super-tumba configurations, making it ideal for both session work and touring setups where versatility matters.
