Protection Racket AAA 24" x 18" Rigid Bass Drum Case

Protection Racket's AAA rigid bass drum case is engineered for musicians who spend as much time moving gear as they do playing it. Built around a polycarbonate frame reinforced with Triple A–Plex™ technology, the 24" × 18" model (A1824–00) combines impact resistance with advanced foam cushioning under the brand's Rocket Foam™ construction. The approach reflects three decades of case design: lightweight yet unyielding protection against the cumulative damage of touring life.

Internal dimensions measure 27½" × 21½", accounting for shell hardware, bearing edges, and lugs without excessive dead space. The case features a 6" × 4" clear window pocket for quick drum identification, neoprene ergonomic handles for reduced hand fatigue during transport, and plastic piping edges that distribute impact loads across the frame perimeter. These refinements address real road wear–abrasion at carry points, visibility under stage lighting, and the repeated minor collisions that accumulate into shell damage.

Bass drum cases at this depth suit 18" depths commonly found in contemporary jazz, fusion, and rock kits, as well as orchestral and world music applications. The polycarbonate shell resists UV degradation during outdoor festival setups, whilst the internal cushioning maintains consistent protection whether the drum sits idle for months or travels weekly between venues across Australia.
