Protection Racket 24x20" Bass Drum Case

Protection Racket's 24x20” bass drum case is engineered around semi-rigid Propadd P2 foam construction that maintains structural integrity whether open or closed. Unlike collapsible designs, this architecture allows drummers to safely load and unload their instruments without the case folding under its own weight. At under 3.5 kilograms, the case remains portable enough for touring musicians whilst delivering the protection critical percussion requires during transport and storage.

Internal dimensions of 27½” × 23½” accommodate 24x20” drums whilst providing clearance for hardware fixtures and bearing edges. The semi-rigid shell resists puncture and impact whilst the lightweight foam composition eliminates unnecessary weight penalty during repeated lifting and loading. Construction philosophy prioritises accessibility–the case won't collapse when propped open during setup, streamlining workflow at venues and studios where time efficiency matters.

Protection Racket manufactures cases across multiple drum dimensions, with the 24x20” model (catalogue no. 2024-00) fitting standard deep bass drums common in jazz, fusion, and contemporary touring kits. The foam formulation balances rigidity with impact absorption, protecting finish and bearing edges from the cumulative stress of frequent transport.
