Protection Racket's Surdo cases are built to the same engineering standard as the brand's Pro Line drum cases, designed specifically for surdos that demand serious protection during transport and touring. The 24" Surdo case (catalogue 9922-00) accommodates 22" shell drums with internal dimensions of 24" × 24½", allowing ample clearance for hardware fixtures and bearing edges. Propile lining throughout absorbs impact whilst cushioning the instrument against road wear.
Construction centres on a central padded carry handle paired with an adjustable shoulder strap, distributing weight across transport methods depending on distance and load. The case's rigid shell protects against crushing, whilst the Propile foam acts as an effective shock absorber for drums in transit vans, touring rigs, or storage. Internal dimensions across the range expand proportionally with shell size–the 9922-00 offers 24" of usable width, matching larger surdo heads while maintaining structural integrity through reinforced seams and corner protection.
Surdos vary in hardware configuration and bearing edge depth; the generous internal clearance (24" × 24½" on the largest model) accommodates modern lugs, tom mounts, and reinforcement rings without binding. This case suits both studio players maintaining vintage instruments and touring percussionists who require flight–case durability at a lower weight penalty than military–spec cases.
