Protection Racket 22x14" Marching Bass Drum Case

Protection Racket's marching bass drum cases are engineered to the same professional specification as their touring-grade drum cases, delivering semi-rigid protection without the weight penalty. Built using Propadd P2 foam technology, these cases maintain structural integrity whether loaded or empty–no collapse or flex during field transport. The 22" × 14" model (M2214-00) accommodates drums with internal dimensions of 24" × 17½", providing clearance for hardware and fittings. Weighing under 3.5 kilos, the case prioritises portability without sacrificing durability, critical for touring musicians and marching ensembles managing multiple pieces.

The case features pro-grip side handles designed for secure two-handed lifting, addressing the ergonomic demands of transporting large bass drums on and off vehicles or between rehearsal spaces. Propadd P2 foam construction delivers semi-rigid casing that resists deformation under pressure, unlike soft cases that compress and can allow drum shells to shift during transit. The internal cavity of 24" × 17½" accommodates the drum's bearing edges and suspension hardware without forcing equipment into tight quarters. This balance between structural rigidity and lightweight construction makes the case practical for musicians who move gear frequently, whether for weekly rehearsals or touring circuits.
