Protection Racket's 20" × 18" bass drum case (model 1820-00) is a semi-rigid hard case engineered for serious touring and studio work. Built from durable polypropylene reinforced with Propadd P2 foam, it resists collapse when empty–a critical advantage during load-in and setup. At under 3.5 kilograms, the case balances protection with genuine portability, making it viable for musicians moving between venues or rehearsal spaces without exhausting support gear.

The 1820-00 features internal dimensions of 23½" × 21½", accommodating the stated 20" × 18" shell while reserving clearance for hardware, lugs, and bearing edges. The semi-rigid design absorbs road shock whilst maintaining structural integrity during transit. Construction materials prioritise impact resistance without sacrificing weight efficiency–critical for drummers working long touring schedules or session work requiring repeated transport across multiple locations and weather conditions.
