Protection Racket 16" Bodhran Case

Protection Racket's 16" Bodhran Case (catalogue 9120-00) delivers robust transport security for mid-range frame drums, built on the brand's reputation for roadworthy percussion protection. The case combines durable Racketex outer material with a fleece-lined interior, designed to absorb impact while allowing skin acclimatisation. Internal dimensions of 18" × 18" × 5" accommodate the drum's hardware without binding, crucial for preserving bearing edges and tensioning mechanisms during transit.

Construction throughout employs double stitching for durability, whilst the fleece lining cushions the instrument and stabilises humidity levels. Carry options include padded backpack straps, a shoulder strap, cushioned handle, and hang hook—enabling quick deployment whether walking to a session or accessing the stage. The integrated multi-tipper holder locks into the lid and stands independently onstage, converting storage into functional workspace for live performance without fumbling through cases.

Players transporting bodhráns across varying climates benefit from the waterproof Racketex shell, which resists moisture ingress that can warp wooden frames. The case's modest 5" depth suits standard bodhráns without internal bracing, keeping weight manageable for touring musicians who prioritise compact luggage.
