Protection Racket 14x5.5" Snare Case & Strap

Protection Racket's 14" × 5.5" snare case delivers rigid, dependable shell protection built on decades of British case manufacturing expertise. The model 3011R features internal dimensions of 17" × 6.5", accommodating standard and deeper snare drums with room for lugs and bearing edges. Rucksack straps replace a fixed handle, distributing weight evenly across the shoulders during transport–a practical choice for gigging musicians who value mobility alongside protection.

Constructed to withstand regular road use, the case maintains a compact external footprint while its internal cavity provides generous clearance for hardware fixtures and fittings. The 17" width and 6.5" depth allow players to transport anything from vintage wooden shells to modern chrome–plated drums without risk of hardware contact damage. Rucksack strap configuration frees both hands, essential when navigating stairs, car boots, or crowded rehearsal spaces alongside other gear. The rigid exterior design resists crushing under stacked cases or equipment weight.

The 14" × 5.5" sizing sits comfortably between piccolo and deep–shell configurations, making it versatile across jazz, studio, and marching contexts. Players working multiple snares benefit from stacking capability–the standardised external profile aligns with other Protection Racket drum cases. Alternative configurations exist within the same shell size: concealed shoulder strap (model 3011C) suits those preferring less visible carrying hardware, whilst the standard handle version (model 3011) remains available for stationary storage or vehicle transport.
