Protection Racket's 12" × 5" piccolo snare case (model 3012-00) is a purpose-built transport solution for compact snare drums and similar percussion instruments. The case accommodates internal dimensions of 15" × 6", providing clearance for shell hardware and bearing edges. Piccolo snares demand protection without excess bulk, and this case delivers rigid protection in a footprint suited to touring musicians, session players, and studio professionals who value both durability and portability.

Construction prioritises structural integrity through a rigid shell design that shields drums from impact, vibration, and environmental stress during transit. The standard configuration includes a carrying handle for one-handed transport, though alternative strap options are available across the Protection Racket snare range. Internal dimensions exceed external drum measurements to accommodate lugs, strainer mechanisms, and snare wires without compression. The 12" × 5" specification aligns with vintage piccolo designs and compact modern snares, making it a practical choice for players with multiple drums in their setup.

Protection Racket manufactures a comprehensive range of snare cases spanning sizes from 10" to 15" diameter and depths from 3" to 8". This 12" × 5" model sits at the intersection of portability and capacity, offering genuine utility for drummers who regularly transport smaller-diameter snares without requiring the depth or internal space of standard cases. Rugged construction ensures the case outlasts many of the drums it protects.
