Promark Mike Portnoy ActiveGrip 420X Hickory Oval Wood Tip

Mike Portnoy's signature drumstick gets a powerful upgrade with the ProMark 420x model, designed to amplify your performance with enhanced projection and force. This evolved version builds upon the foundation of Mike's original 420 design, offering drummers increased power output whilst maintaining the precision and control that made the original so popular amongst professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Sized slightly larger than a standard 5A, the 420x strikes an ideal balance between substantial feel and comfortable playability. The oval wood tip produces warm, rich tones across both cymbals and drums, creating a versatile sound profile that suits the diverse requirements of contemporary drummers across multiple genres and playing styles.

ProMark's innovative ActiveGrip technology ensures secure handling during extended playing sessions, providing drummers with confidence and comfort when the performance demands peak intensity. This patented grip enhancement makes the 420x particularly appealing to players who require reliable stick control during demanding performances.
