Drummers seeking a more aggressive alternative to traditional Hot Rods will find their answer in the ProMark Lightning Rods, which pack considerably more punch and projection into every strike.
These innovative sticks are built around seven substantial birch dowels that create a distinctly brighter cymbal tone whilst providing enhanced attack compared to their softer counterparts. The Lightning Rods represent a clever middle ground between brushes and full sticks, offering that alternative sound source many players are after.
The construction focuses on projection and clarity, making these rods particularly suited to situations where you need more volume and definition than standard Hot Rods can provide. The birch dowel configuration ensures consistent performance whilst maintaining the unique tonal characteristics that make rod-style sticks so appealing to modern drummers.
