Acousticians know that corners are where sound gathers, and the Cumulus tri–corner bass trap harnesses this principle to provide exceptional acoustic control in the most efficient location possible. This high–performance acoustic panel nestles into the tri–corner where walls and ceiling meet, taking advantage of how sound naturally propagates and accumulates in these spaces for maximum absorption efficiency.
Constructed from high–density 6lb per cubic foot (96 kg/m³) glass wool, the Cumulus meets stringent Class–A/1 fire requirements while remaining safe to handle. The panel features micromesh bonding on front and back surfaces with resin–hardened edges that fully encapsulate fibres, all wrapped in acoustically transparent fabric. A unique spring–tensioned clamping system ensures secure, invisible installation that’s both quick and straightforward.
Despite its substantial 24″ (60cm) size, the Cumulus only extends 17″ down the wall once installed, creating a deep air cavity behind the panel that provides broadband absorption down to 100Hz. This design effectively controls modal distortion in the problematic low–mid region, making it ideal for home theatres and post–production suites with limited wall space. Professional studios benefit from reduced standing waves, while voice–over booths can eliminate the typical “chest–hump” resonance in the 200Hz to 300Hz range.
Available in three architecturally neutral colours to complement most room décors, the Cumulus comes complete with all installation hardware. This broadband absorber seamlessly integrates into any space without interfering with natural room aesthetics, providing professional acoustic control where it’s needed most.
