PreSonus's StudioLive® Series III SE 32R is a 40-channel digital rack mixer engineered for live sound engineers, recording musicians, and monitor specialists seeking serious mixing capability in compact, road-ready format. Thirty-two XMAX-R recallable microphone preamps form the core input stage, delivering 60 dB gain range with 94 dB signal-to-noise ratio and sub-0.005% harmonic distortion across the audible spectrum. Milan-certified AVB networking positions this unit as the centre piece of modern touring rigs and permanent installations where networked stageboxes and personal monitor systems demand seamless integration.

The mixing architecture comprises 16 configurable FlexMixes, four dedicated subgroups, four effects returns, and 24 DCA groups for granular channel management across complex monitor and FOH applications. A continuous 64×64 USB 2.0 interface routes multitrack signals to recording software, whilst onboard stereo SD recording (up to 32 GB capacity) captures performances independently. Per-channel source switching between analogue, USB, SD card, and AVB network inputs eliminates routing bottlenecks. Headphone monitoring delivers 100 mW per channel at 60Ω impedance with 96 dB signal-to-noise performance, and the included Fender Studio Pro perpetual licence adds software mixing depth.

Rack mounting in 19-inch format with 3.5-inch height and 11.2 lb weight allows vertical stacking in compact rigs. Remote mixing via Universal Control and QMix-UC personal monitor software grants engineers wireless command over all parameters, whilst Virtual Soundcheck capability through Capture software enables pre-show testing without live audience interaction. Standalone, monitor, and stagebox operating modes adapt to different venue requirements.
