Pearl's collaboration with Grammy Award‐winning percussionist Horacio "el Negro" Hernandez has produced the most melodically innovative cowbell line available today, with the ChaBELLa Low‐Pitched Cha‐Cha cowbell leading the charge. This carbon steel instrument features a distinctive black powder coat finish and incorporates the signature design elements that made the original Horacio Hernandez cowbells so popular among professional musicians.
The cowbell's versatile design includes two distinct playing surfaces ‐ flat and rounded ‐ accommodating different player positions and personal preferences. A swiveling mount system allows multiple bells to be stacked on a single post without wingnut interference, while the Quick Release bracket fits any 3/8" post for effortless setup. Musicians can simply drop the bell into place on two cushioned pins and remove it just as easily by lifting it off the mount.
This innovative mounting system gives players the flexibility to use conventional playing positions or hold the bells in their hands for authentic performance styles. The bright yellow powder‐coated bracket remains universal across all HH Signature Cowbells and can stay mounted to hardware between performances, making setup and pack‐down remarkably efficient. The redesigned Horacio Hernandez Signature Cowbells combine practical functionality with exceptional sonority, available in six different models with varying sizes and tonal characteristics.
