Pearl Free Floater 14x3.5 Inch Snare Drum - Birch

The Pearl Free Floater 14x3.5" Birch Piccolo Snare Drum brings crisp, high–pitched warmth that cuts through any mix with natural brightness. This task–specific instrument features innovative Free Floating lugs that never touch the 6–ply, 5.4mm shell, allowing maximum resonance without choking off the wooden construction. The dense all–birch shell construction provides bright, open attack characteristics that piccolo snare players demand.

Pearl’s engineering focuses on letting each shell material react authentically to the drummer’s touch. Die–cast hoops maintain tuning stability even after thousands of rimshots, while the drum can be cranked to extreme tensions. The SR–160F Click–Lock Snare Strainer locks both lever and tension adjuster precisely where you set them, paired with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head for immediate playability.

Available in Satin Natural finish, this Free Floating snare represents Pearl’s task–specific innovation approach. Each model is individually chosen by size, shell type, and application to give players an unrestrained voice within their chosen tonal spectrum, making this birch piccolo snare perfectly suited for situations requiring crisp, cutting presence.
