Pearl's Cabana Cajon represents a refined approach to percussion design, engineered to deliver punchy bass and crisp articulation in a compact mahogany–bodied frame. Constructed from Philippine mahogany, the instrument pairs a natural grain body with a contrasting black faceplate, presenting a cohesive aesthetic suitable for studio and stage environments. The rear–facing internal bass port is the centrepiece of this design, engineered to reinforce low–end response beyond what standard cajon geometries achieve.
The PBC511CC2 measures 11.75" × 11.75" × 19.75" (30 × 30 × 50 cm), offering balanced proportions for seated playing. Internal guitar wire snares produce the characteristic crisp attack, adjustable via the tuning screw located on the cajon's base. Velcro strips mounted internally allow targeted snare dampening for tonal control. A tuning wrench is supplied, enabling players to refine the snare response without additional tools. Philippine mahogany's warm, resonant characteristics underpin the instrument's overall voice.
