Palmer's MONICON M G2 is a compact passive volume controller built for studios that need direct, hands-on monitoring control. Rather than relying on software menus buried in your DAW or interface, this hardware unit sits within arm's reach, offering an analogue volume potentiometer with zero latency and no digital processing to colour your sound. It's the control centre for project studios, edit suites, and live monitoring setups where quick adjustments matter.
The signal path runs entirely analogue, preserving transparency across your monitoring chain. Inputs accept both balanced XLR/TRS combo and 3.5 mm jack sources from audio interfaces, computers, or mobile devices. Outputs support balanced XLR or 3.5 mm jack connections to studio monitors or compact loudspeaker systems. Three dedicated buttons – Mono, Dim, and Mute – let you fold stereo to mono for translation checking, cut monitoring level without touching the master fader, or silence output instantly without reaching the monitors themselves. The large rotary control delivers precise level setting without stepped attenuation.
