Paiste 602 Modern Essentials 22inch Ride Cymbal

Forged from the legendary CuSn20 "602 Bronze" alloy, the Paiste 602 Modern Essentials 22" Ride Cymbal represents a groundbreaking collaboration with renowned drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. This exceptional instrument combines the transparency and stick definition of the Formula 602 Classic Sounds series with the richness, warmth, and complexity found in the Signature Traditional range, creating a completely new sound dimension for discerning drummers.

Handcrafted by highly skilled Swiss craftsmen from start to finish, this medium–weight ride cymbal offers remarkable versatility across low to loud volume ranges. The balanced stick sound sits atop a wide, deep wash, while the fairly separated bell character provides excellent definition. With its lively intensity and long sustain, the cymbal produces a full, rich, warm tone with silvery overtones and a complex mix that responds beautifully to dynamic playing.

The sound character encompasses warm sparkling stick definition over a controllable wash, complemented by a fairly quick, hefty crash when needed. As Vinnie Colaiuta describes it: "A translucent warmth with definition and a really good controllable wash in the right proportions." This extremely dynamic and responsive ride cymbal suits many musical styles, making it an ideal choice for drummers seeking professional–grade versatility and Swiss precision in their setup.
