Paiste 602 Modern Essentials 20inch Crash Cymbal

Forged from the legendary CuSn20 "602 Bronze" alloy, the Paiste 602 Modern Essentials 20" Crash Cymbal represents a groundbreaking collaboration with renowned drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. This handcrafted Swiss masterpiece combines the transparency and stick definition of the Formula 602 Classic Sounds series with the richness, warmth, and complexity found in the Signature Traditionals range, creating a completely new sound dimension for discerning drummers.

The cymbal's medium weight construction produces a full, warm, and brilliantly shimmering tone with remarkable depth and complexity. Its quick response and fairly soft feel make it incredibly versatile, handling everything from subtle studio work to powerful live performances with a volume range spanning low to loud. The sound character features a rich, strong crash with an open low end and shimmering highs, supported by long sustain and lively intensity.

Available since 2013, this 20" crash offers soft, washy stick sounds with a slight shimmer that becomes increasingly warm as Colaiuta notes: "They are nice and transparent. And as the cymbal gets bigger you really start hearing the warmth project a little more." The result is an exceptionally responsive cymbal that suits a wide range of musical applications, making it an essential addition to any professional drum setup.
