The legendary Paiste 602 20" Medium stands as one of history's most revered cymbal lines, earning its reputation through decades of professional use across the globe. This iconic cymbal belongs to the Formula 602 Classic Sounds series, which was faithfully reintroduced in 2011 to recreate the original sound and appearance that made these cymbals famous. Handcrafted by skilled Swiss artisans from start to finish, each cymbal is forged from the legendary "602 Bronze" (CuSn20) alloy.
The 20" Medium offers a full, rich, and fairly bright sound character with solid projection and a clean mix in the medium range. Its controlled and even feel makes it incredibly versatile, while the sparkling stick sound is beautifully supported by a breathy layer of wash that creates perfect balance. The cymbal produces medium low to medium loud volume levels with long sustain and a fairly separated, smooth bell character.
This dynamic all–around cymbal suits many musical styles when played at moderate levels, making it an excellent choice for drummers seeking that pure, delicate musical tone the 602 series is renowned for. The fine craftsmanship and legendary bronze formula combine to produce sound with unique clarity and consistency that has made the 602 line a professional standard for generations.
