The legendary Paiste 602 20" Heavy stands as one of history's most revered cymbal lines, earning its reputation through decades of professional use across the globe. This reintroduced classic model has been faithfully recreated in 2011, maintaining both the authentic sound and distinctive appearance that made the original series so sought after by discerning drummers.
Forged from the renowned "602 Bronze" (CuSn20) alloy, each cymbal is handcrafted from start to finish by highly skilled Swiss craftsmen. The Formula 602 Classic Sounds series produces exceptionally pure tones with unique clarity and consistency, requiring precise playing technique to unlock its full potential. The fine, soft, and delicate musical character demands attention to detail but rewards players with unmatched sonic beauty.
This 20" heavy model offers medium low to medium loud volume capabilities with a full, rich, and fairly bright sound character. The controlled intensity provides long sustain with a fairly clear, glassy stick sound complemented by a breathy wash layer. Its medium range and clean mix make it perfectly balanced for dynamic playing across various musical styles at moderate levels, while the fairly separated and smooth bell character adds versatility to any drum setup.
