The legendary Paiste 602 series returns with this exquisite 19" Medium crash, faithfully recreating one of history's most revered cymbal lines. Originally celebrated for its fine, pure, and delicate musical tone that demands precise playing technique, this reintroduced model maintains the authentic sound and appearance that made the 602 series famous. Handcrafted from start to finish by highly skilled Swiss craftsmen, each cymbal is forged from the legendary "602 Bronze" (CuSn20) alloy.
This medium–weight crash produces a silvery, breathy, and transparent sound character with a fairly wide range and slightly complex, dense mix. The cymbal offers a soft shimmering quality with a velvety feel, creating a washy stick sound that sits beautifully in the mix. With medium sustain and an integrated bell character, it provides fairly lively response while maintaining controlled dynamics from medium low to medium loud volumes.
The Formula 602 Classic Sounds series delivers true, pure sound with unique clarity and consistency that has made it a favourite among discerning drummers worldwide. This light crash cymbal carries a definite retro character that suits many styles within vintage and classic music genres, making it an essential addition for players seeking that authentic, timeless cymbal voice.
