Paiste 18 Inch Formula 602 Modern Essentials China Cymbal

The Paiste 18 Inch Formula 602 Modern Essentials China Cymbal stands as a sonic masterpiece, forged from the legendary 602 Bronze (CuSn20) that has defined professional drumming for generations. This exceptional cymbal emerged from close collaboration with drumming legend Vinnie Colaiuta, bringing his uncompromising sound concepts to life through Swiss craftsmanship. The result is a versatile instrument that seamlessly blends the transparency and stick definition of the Formula 602 Classic Sounds with the warmth and complexity of the Signature Traditionals series.

What sets this China cymbal apart is its remarkably smooth and refined response, making it perfect for both abrupt accents and dramatic rolls. The complex overtones create a distinctive gong–like swell, while the CuSn20 bronze construction — the same material used in Paiste’s Masters cymbals — ensures exceptional tonal quality. With its dark, warm, and exotic sound character, this medium–weight cymbal offers a wide frequency range and lively response intensity with long sustain.

The versatility of this 18–inch China makes it suitable for everything from Pop to Jazz applications, providing that perfect balance of earthiness and sizzle that modern drummers demand. Its ability to cut through any mix while maintaining musical complexity makes it an invaluable addition to any professional setup.
