Paiste 17 inch Masters Dark Crash Cymbal

The Paiste 17" Masters Dark Crash Cymbal brings mystical darkness and rich complexity to your drum kit with its buttery soft feel and quick response. This medium–thin weight cymbal produces dark, warm, smoky tones with a complex frequency mix that cuts through intimate to semi–loud musical settings. The lively character makes it perfect for broad accents and crashes, while maintaining tender clarity that won’t overpower your mix.

What sets this cymbal apart is its remarkable versatility — it handles delicate ride patterns and mallet swells with equal finesse. As renowned drummer Gregory Hutchinson notes, "For those guys who really appreciate just having a cymbal that can do everything, the larger Dark Crashes can do anything. Very crash–able, and if you want to ride on them, they will give you all the ride patterns in the world."

The technical specifications reveal a washy stick sound with medium sustain and an integrated bell character that blends seamlessly with the overall tone. Its medium frequency range and rough, complex mix create rich harmonic content, while the soft feel provides comfortable playability across various dynamic levels from low to medium loud volumes.
