The Paiste 16 Inch 2002 Big Beat Hi–Hat Pair brings a contemporary edge to the legendary 2002 series, combining the renowned strength and clarity of the original line with innovative design elements. These cymbals feature a distinctive hammering pattern that creates additional complexity and warmth, making them ideal for high–volume performances without excessive harshness. The highly controllable bloom offers a short decay with rich tonal qualities that professional drummers seek.

With their 16" diameter, these hi–hats produce a full, warm, deep, and wide sound profile that impresses across various musical genres. The medium wide range and complex mix provide excellent responsiveness and satisfying playability. Musicians will appreciate the broad stick sound that sits over a full, fat, wet open tone, complemented by a rich, pronounced, deep "chick" sound when closed.

Technical specifications include medium weight, volume, and sound colour characteristics, with a medium frequency range and rough/complex/rich frequency mix. The balanced stick sound combines with lively response intensity and medium sustain, while the pronounced chick sound and medium feel make these hi–hats exceptionally versatile. These big, driving cymbals adapt well to diverse musical settings, offering the perfect balance between power and finesse that modern drummers require.
