Paiste 10 Inch Formula 602 Modern Essentials Splash Cymbal

Vinnie Colaiuta’s vision comes alive in the Paiste 10 Inch Formula 602 Modern Essentials Splash Cymbal, a masterpiece that bridges the gap between classic Formula 602 sounds and the sophisticated complexity of Signature Traditionals. This explosive splash cymbal features a low–tuned design that creates lively accents at moderate volumes, making it perfect for both studio recording and live performances. Handcrafted by skilled Swiss artisans using the legendary 602 Bronze (CuSn20), each cymbal represents uncompromising attention to detail and sound quality.

The sound character is distinctly warm, airy, and silvery with a snarling edge that cuts through any mix. Its fairly wide range and complex tonal mix provide transparency and stick definition, while maintaining the richness and darkness that made the Signature Traditionals series so popular. The soft feel and responsive nature make it exceptionally well–suited for hand–playing techniques, adding versatility to your percussion setup.

Built for low to medium loud settings, this splash cymbal excels across multiple music genres including Pop, Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Blues, R&B, Country, Folk, and acoustic music. As Vinnie Colaiuta himself describes them: “They are sweet, they are these kind of punctuation marks in the background” — perfectly capturing their role as dynamic accent pieces that add just the right amount of pizzazz to any musical arrangement.
