The Novation Peak brings filthy, biting overdrive to your studio with warm, rich tones that cut through any mix. This eight-voice desktop polyphonic synthesiser features three New Oxford Oscillators per voice, each paired with a resonant multi-mode analogue filter and three strategic distortion points throughout the analogue signal chain. Design consultant Chris Huggett, the legendary mind behind Bass Station, Supernova, and OSCar, has crafted Peak’s architecture around the proven Bass Station II foundation.

Peak’s oscillators achieve completely analogue sound through high-quality NCOs (Numerically-Controlled Oscillators) while gaining digital domain flexibility with 17 built-in wavetables. The modulation system places frequently used assignments directly in the main controls, with more complex movements and secondary ‘via’ assignments accessible through simple menu navigation. This approach lets you broaden your electronic music palette and draw in fresh influences without getting lost in programming complexity.

The included Wavetable Editor unlocks the full potential of Peak’s wavetable oscillators, allowing real-time waveform design and editing to expand your creative possibilities. Novation has curated a selection of space-themed audio from the NASA sound library alongside an exclusive wavetable preset pack from production powerhouse Noisia to spark your imagination. Peak connects seamlessly to Mac or PC via USB, features MIDI I/O on five-pin DIN ports for your existing gear, and includes CV modulation input for modular system integration.
