Nord's Piano 5 represents a significant leap forward in portable piano technology, featuring dual piano engines and dual sample synths with double the memory capacity of its predecessor. The instrument combines a premium Triple Sensor keybed with exclusive Virtual Hammer Action Technology to provide an authentic playing feel that rivals acoustic pianos.

The Piano 5's architecture includes two independent layers in both the Piano and Sample Synth sections, allowing musicians to use two pianos and two sample synths simultaneously across various split or layer configurations. LED-equipped level controls enable quick and precise volume balancing across all layers, while volume and sustain pedals can be assigned individually to each layer. The versatile effects routing opens up possibilities ranging from classic ensemble settings to rich, complex soundscapes.

Seamless transitions ensure glitch-free sound and program changes during performance, while the factory bank includes 9 grands, 9 uprights, 10 enhanced electric pianos, plus clavinet, digital pianos, marimba, vibraphone and more from Nord's exclusive Piano Library. Nord's advanced sampling technology captures the subtle nuances and authentic character of source instruments, with the library receiving regular free updates through the Nord Sound Manager.

The latest addition to the collection is the Stockholm EP, a meticulously sampled 1976 Mark I Stage EP that showcases both fat, round bottom tones with balanced bells and more aggressive, shallow sounds when played hard.
