The KH 120 II represents a complete re-engineering of Neumann’s acclaimed studio monitor, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in nearfield monitoring. Building on the success of the original KH 120 A that launched in 2010, this second-generation monitor maintains Neumann’s core philosophy of highest linearity, lowest distortion, and zero coloration whilst introducing significant improvements across all performance parameters. The result is deeper bass response, higher SPL capability, and enhanced resolution that allows you to hear your tracks with unprecedented clarity.

At the heart of the KH 120 II lies sophisticated DSP processing that enables phase-linear crossovers and an exceptionally flat frequency response from 44 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB). This digital control eliminates the phase distortion typically caused by analogue filters, resulting in crystal-clear mids with remarkable transparency and extreme accuracy in the time domain. Manufacturing tolerances are held to an incredibly tight ±0.5 dB, ensuring razor-sharp stereo imaging and consistent tonal character between units.

Designed for nearfield applications with a recommended listening distance of 1-2 metres, the KH 120 II suits home studios, project studios, mixing suites, and surround applications equally well. The monitor features Neumann’s Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide for optimal dispersion characteristics, whilst internal DSP enables room calibration via the revolutionary MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system (sold separately). This technology adapts the monitors to your specific room acoustics and listening position, providing significant improvements even in treated spaces.

Connectivity options include both analogue and S/PDIF inputs, with the KH 120 II AES67 variant offering integrated redundant AES67 network ports compliant with broadcast standards including ST 2110 and RAVENNA, plus DANTE® compatibility. The patent-pending amplifier technology combines Class D efficiency with superior audio performance, providing 145W to the 5.25″ woofer and 100W to the 1″ tweeter whilst consuming just 17W at idle, dropping to 0.3W in auto-standby mode.
