The KH 120 II represents a complete re-engineering of Neumann's acclaimed studio monitor, pushing the boundaries of nearfield monitoring with deeper bass response, higher SPL capability and enhanced resolution across all parameters. Building on the success of the original KH 120 A released in 2010, this second-generation monitor maintains Neumann's core philosophy of highest linearity, lowest distortion and zero coloration whilst introducing powerful DSP processing for phase linear crossovers and room adaptive alignment via the revolutionary MA 1 Automatic Alignment system.

The monitor achieves an exceptionally linear frequency response from 44 Hz to 21 kHz (�3 dB) whilst simultaneously linearising the phase response through sophisticated DSP-controlled electronics. This technology eliminates the phase distortion typically caused by analogue filters, resulting in crystal-clear mids with remarkable transparency and extreme accuracy in the time domain for precise impulse reproduction and finely resolved reverbs. Manufacturing tolerances are held to an extraordinary �0.5 dB, ensuring razor-sharp stereo imaging and new standards in tonal consistency.

Designed for nearfield applications with a recommended listening distance of 1-2 metres, the KH 120 II suits smaller rooms including home and project studios, mixing suites, and surround applications. The Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide creates a wide sweet spot whilst minimising desk reflections, and the internal DSP enables room calibration through Neumann's Automatic Monitor Alignment technology. Connectivity options include both analogue and S/PDIF inputs, with the KH 120 II AES67 variant offering integrated redundant AES67 audio network ports compliant with broadcast standards including ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, and RAVENNA, plus compatibility with DANTE®-generated AES67 network streams.

The patent-pending amplifier technology combines superior audio performance with Class D energy efficiency, providing up to 145 W to the 5.25" woofer and 100 W to the 1" tweeter whilst consuming only 17 W at idle. Auto-standby functionality reduces power consumption to just 0.3 W during periods of inactivity, though this feature can be deactivated as required.
