MXR M236 Super Badass Variac Fuzz

Dialling in the right fuzz tone can be frustrating when pedals lock players into a single sound. Some lack the warmth of vintage circuits, while others miss the punch and clarity needed for modern rigs. The MXR M236 Super Badass Variac Fuzz solves this by offering a wide range of fuzz textures in one compact pedal, delivering everything from gritty, sagging saturation to open, articulate drive.

At the heart of its versatility is the unique Variac control, allowing the pedal's voltage to be adjusted from 5V to 15V. Lower settings create vintage-style compression and sag, while higher voltages open up the tone with added headroom and clarity. This flexible design makes it easy to shape fuzz that fits perfectly into any mix, whether chasing classic rock character or aggressive modern bite.

Built for reliable performance on stage or in the studio, the Super Badass Variac Fuzz can be powered by a 9V battery or compatible external power supplies. Its straightforward controls and rugged MXR construction make it a dependable addition to any pedalboard. Discover new fuzz textures and bring powerful character to every riff with the MXR Super Badass Variac Fuzz.
