MachFive 3 is MOTU's flagship sampler for macOS and Windows, designed to work across samples, loops, synthesis and effects from a single interface. It runs standalone or as a VST, AU, RTAS or AAX plug-in, and ships with 45GB of instruments, loops and effects. The defining strength is format universality: it reads Kontakt, Giga, EXS24, HALion, Akai, Roland, Kurzweil, Ensoniq, SampleCell, REX, ACID and Apple Loops directly, with no conversion needed.

Modular synthesis supports up to 128 samples per key with two filters, eight LFOs, six envelopes and unlimited modulation routing per object. IRCAM technology powers time-stretching, pitch-shifting and granular synthesis. The LoopLab beat-slicer reworks REX, ACID and Apple Loops in real time. A deep scripting engine models playing techniques heard in the included Telematic electric-guitar instrument. The effects rack includes 47 built-in processors, convolution reverb, delays, saturation, spectral tools and more. An 8GB Xtreme FX bonus library adds cinematic textures and soundscapes.
