The Moog Muse stands as a monumental achievement in analog synthesis, representing over five years of meticulous development to create an eight-voice bi-timbral polyphonic synthesizer that honours Moog’s legendary heritage whilst pushing boldly into new sonic territories. This studio and performance powerhouse features eight analog voices, each equipped with dual VCOs, a modulation VCO, dual VCFs, and stereo VCA — all delivering that unmistakable, kinetic analog character that has defined generations of electronic music.
Drawing inspiration from the finest vintage Moog circuits, including Voyager oscillators, the MF-102 Ring Modulator, CP3 Mixer, 902 VCA module, and 904a Filter, Muse combines classic analog warmth with cutting-edge digital control capabilities. The instrument offers 16 banks of 16 patches spanning beautiful pads, organic FM plucks, commanding leads, and subterranean basses, with two banks reserved for your own creative explorations. Advanced modulation options, customizable envelopes, and multiple flexible LFOs provide endless sound-shaping possibilities.
Built with the modern musician in mind, Muse features a performance-oriented design with an intuitive knob-per-function layout and comprehensive “More” menus for every module. The 61-key Fatar keyboard provides velocity and channel aftertouch sensitivity, whilst the left-hand controller section includes pitch and mod wheels plus a programmable Macro knob for inspiring real-time control. The hypnotic stereo Diffusion Delay™ processor, inspired by golden-era digital rack delays, adds complex echoes and diffused tonal textures that bring remarkable dimension to any patch. Additionally, the powerful arpeggiator and deep sequencer with parameter recording and generative functions create a limitless canvas for musical exploration and discovery.
