Step back in time to 1971 with the Model 10, a meticulous recreation of Dr. Robert Moog’s groundbreaking compact modular synthesizer that helped shape electronic music history. This faithful reproduction captures the essence of the original instrument that provided the foundational sounds for iconic recordings like Wendy Carlos’s Switched-On Bach and Isao Tomita’s Snowflakes Are Dancing. Built for portability without compromising sonic integrity, the Model 10 comes housed in a robust Tolex-enclosed timber cabinet that maintains the authentic aesthetic of the original design.

At the heart of this synthesizer lies 11 discrete analogue modules, including three 900-series oscillators and the highly regarded 907 Fixed Filter Bank, renowned for its extensive sound shaping and timbral capabilities. The predecessor to the Model 15, this design prioritises purity of sound, operational speed, and straightforward functionality whilst providing the immense sonic depth and dimension that only a vintage Moog modular synthesizer can offer.

Each Model 10 is meticulously hand-built to the original 1971 Moog factory specifications, ensuring authentic recreation of the vintage instrument. Individual modules are crafted using traditional methods including hand-stuffing and hand-soldering components to circuit boards, followed by conventional wiring techniques. After thorough testing and finishing with aluminium panels, each module finds its place in the hand-wired modular instrument.
