MIDI Solutions F8 8-Input MIDI Footswitch Controller

Control your entire MIDI setup with the precision of eight programmable footswitches using the MIDI Solutions F8 8-input MIDI Footswitch Controller. This versatile unit features eight 1/4" phone jack inputs that accept footswitches or contact closures, allowing you to trigger a comprehensive range of MIDI events including Note, Control Change, Pitch Bend, Program Change, Start/Stop and System Exclusive messages. All triggered events are seamlessly merged with incoming MIDI data and passed through to the F8's MIDI output.

The F8 offers extensive programmable functions including Program Change INC/DEC, Rechannelize, Transpose, Tap Tempo and Note-On Filter capabilities. MIDI Echo and Footswitch Toggle parameters can be switched on or off as required, whilst the polarity of each footswitch is automatically determined at power-up or can be manually programmed for normally-open or normally-closed operation. The unit can also transmit footswitch states immediately upon power-up rather than waiting for manual activation.

Programming is accomplished through MIDI System Exclusive messages, made simple with the included MIDI Solutions Programming Tools software. All settings are permanently stored in memory and retained after power removal, yet can be reprogrammed as often as needed. The F8 operates without batteries or external power supply by drawing power directly from your MIDI connection, and features a MIDI indicator LED that illuminates when powered and flashes during data transmission.
