The DL8 Stage Box brings together the engineering expertise of four legendary audio brands - Midas, Klark Teknik, Turbosound and Behringer - to create a robust 8-channel digital audio interface that bridges the gap between stage and front-of-house. This compact 2RU unit features 8 award-winning Midas PRO microphone preamplifiers with switchable +48V phantom power, 8 electronically balanced line outputs, and an integrated ULTRANET distribution hub for connecting P16-M personal monitor mixers or Turbosound speaker systems.

At the heart of the DL8 lies proven ULTRANET technology, which has successfully transmitted 16 channels of 24-bit audio over standard CAT5 cable across distances up to 75 metres in hundreds of thousands of installations worldwide. This creates a powerful digital ecosystem that combines exceptional reliability with straightforward deployment and operational flexibility, connecting mixers, I/O boxes, powered loudspeakers and personal monitoring systems seamlessly.

The system’s dual AES50 SuperMAC ports allow up to three DL8 units to be daisy-chained via a single shielded CAT5 cable, providing 48 channels in and out to the stage. Klark Teknik’s AES50 protocol ensures high channel counts with extremely low and deterministic latencies, accurate phase-aligned networked clock distribution, error detection and network redundancy - making it suitable for live performance, studio recording, post-production, broadcasting and audio routing applications.
